Jahurul Islam Medical College follows a systematic and transparent admission process managed by the Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME). We ensure fair opportunities for all aspiring medical students to join our prestigious institution. Please carefully review the following procedures and requirements for a smooth admission experience.
DGME Admission Notice: All procedures for admission to private medical colleges will be handled by the Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME). DGME will publish an admission notice in a national newspaper and on its website. Students who score 40 or more marks on the admission test are eligible to apply.
Online Application: From the national merit list, students wishing to enroll in private medical colleges must apply online again to DGME. During this application, students must select private medical colleges according to their preference.
College Assignment: Based on merit positions and choices made, students will be assigned to a specific medical college. DGME will notify them via SMS, and a college-specific list of selected students will be published on their official website.
Confirmation: Within 5 days of receiving the notification, students must confirm their selection of the assigned college through the DGME portal. Failure to confirm within the deadline may result in forfeiture of the seat.
Poor and Meritorious Quota: Students applying for the Poor and Meritorious quota should apply online to DGME during the application period. Once selected under this quota, they will not be considered for the general quota.
All documents must be original and properly attested. Incomplete documentation may result in rejection of your admission application. Please ensure all documents are prepared well in advance of the admission deadline.
